Well - not anytime soon. I don't really have time to do... anything. Maybe when I retire! I told Lin I just want to be a house husband when I'm done in politics - I could definitely pick up an author gig on the side.

How long are you in office for, anyway? It's not gonna be a lifetime thing for you, is it? My old man and my uncle are, like, ancient, and they don't seem like they're gonna retire anytime soon...

That isn't to say that I'm not grateful, and I'm happy to help, but... I really just came into power through succession and necessity. I want to set up an electoral system once things at home calm down so I can step down. So...hopefully just another year or so. Maybe less.
You've got this! Worst case scenario, if it goes on for too long without an electoral system getting set up, appoint a good successor who will carry the torch and then, like, IDK - be a house husband and an elections activist.

I think the last thing I want to be is a very old, irrelevant person with far too much power. And... honestly, I don't think politics is very fulfilling, anyway. Being here reminded me of some things; I have an academy to rebuild. And a dog to adopt. God, I really want a dog.
Ooh, what kind of dog? ...and the academy getting rebuilt's gonna be great. There's a bunch of people out there who'd be totally lucky to have you as a teacher.
