[There's a complicated expression on his face when the memory winds down, which means he totally doesn't notice Kuranosuke's about to ruffle his hair and squeaks when it happens. Embarrassing.]

I know that now. [A little bit huffy. And then he sighs.] ... But until recently, there was always someone telling me exactly who and what I was supposed to be. It was... weird. Getting to make that choice for myself.

...yeah. It takes some getting used to, once you realize that you don't have to be what they expect of you.

So, this is the base style. What do you think?

[Ohhh... He has a thoughtful look on his face, like he's taking mental notes while he looks the dress over.]

Huh, you really made it work... That girl with the doll— um, Nomussan? [Close.] She's the one that put the pattern together?

Yep. Tsukimi came up with the design, and Nomu ended up figuring out how to make a pattern for it so we could more easily put it together.

[back in he goes and...

after a bit of fussing, he comes out wearing the same dress with a different style.]

See? It totally works!

She got really close to the original sketches.

[He seems very impressed, looking the outfit change over.]

Were you the model for the show, too, Kuranosuke?

She did! Nomu's a genius when it comes to patterning. She usually does stuff for, like, dolls, so she's great with detail work too.

[he grins.]

Yeah. Well, all of us ended up modeling them in the end.
