He was more tolerable than most of you, yes. [for one, he actually treated chandra's position as a god with some respect.] However, you humans die so quickly that it's never been worth getting invested in any of you as individuals.

But if I thought that voting for him was the less preferable choice, there were more worthless people here I could've picked. Unlike some people here, I don't cry about the injustice of a decision and then make it anyway.

Both to some degree. For someone who tries to hold himself to the standards of his occupation, he was a bit of a bleeding heart, so the latter wasn't shocking.

But we did discuss yesterday the possibility that he could've done it and not recall, so that was already in my mind.

I guess that's a risk that could've been true for anyone, with the way we keep losing things this week. But if he talked about that with you... I wonder if maybe he was, like, subconsciously trying to figure it out himself.

Well, it's more like one topic led to another and I implicitly accused him, and he denied it on the basis that he would remember—which I pointed out held no water.
