Well, what about this-- you accidentally feed someone something that they're allergic to.

Shouldn't the person with the allergy know before they put it in their mouth?

It might depend. Peanuts, for example. You might use peanut oil in the cooking.

They should still, like, ask if there's anything peanut related in the dish if they know they have the allergy though... then whoever used the peanut oil could say, "Oh shit, don't eat that!"
